Using or manipulating sound, ringtones, etc., seem to be one of those common problem topics.  First thing I had to learn was that getting ringtones requires an app.  Service rep told me that if I plugged into my laptop, and put my music anywhere on the drive, my D2 would find it.  It did under the Music app, but not sure how that works for ringtones.  I'm just trying to get my text alert to make a different sound than my email alert.  Haven't figured that out either.
